Herty Primary - A place where parents, teachers and kids can grow together!
We are learning about Animals in the Fall, a thematic unit where our children discover how animals in our surrounding areas prepare for colder weather. We've been sorting corn, sunflower seeds, and acorns in the Discovery center, giving our pets a "winter coat" in the Art center, hopping like bunnies, slithering like snakes and flying like birds in Music and Movement, camping out in Dramatic Play, making pinecone bird feeders in the Science center, rubber stamping, writing, and typing animals names in ABC Writing, and putting fall animals in it's home using positional words in the Library/Listening center.
